Machine employment cost estimate (MECE) calculations are reported for close examination and Cost Factor value editing in the “MECE Calculations” sheet, one Machine Record at a time.

ALL values specified in the Estimate Setup, Equipment List, Custody Plans, Overhead Estimate, and Employment Cost Factors sheets are reported in the sheet.

ONE Machine Record is displayed at a time. Click on the “Machine Key” cell to pick from the list of Machine Records. Click the Previous and Next buttons to move up and down that list.

Handling #

The cost calculations can be examined in great detail by expanding and collapsing the “outline” of rows using the outline buttons on the left side of the sheet. To expand the outline click on a “+” outline button.. To collapse it, click on a “-“ outline button.

Cost Factor values reported in the MECE Calculations sheet are linked to the Employment Cost Factors sheet for editing.  To automatically navigate from the MECE sheet to the Cost Factor sheet, right-mouse-click on the cell containing the Cost Factor value of interest. To return, click on the “MECE Calculations” sheet’s tab located at the bottom of the screen.

• Begin your review of a machine employment cost estimate using the visualizations. Then, use the cost summary tables to narrow down issues. Once you identify a value of interest, navigate to the associated CBS component using the control key with the up and down arrow keys.
